Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 98 is a joyful celebration of God’s salvation and victory. It calls for all creation—the sea, the floods, and the hills—to sing for joy before the coming Judge.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. A Known Salvation: God has "openly shewed" His righteousness in the sight of the heathen (v. 2).
2. Joyful Noise: Worship should be enthusiastic and full of praise for God’s "marvellous things" (v. 1, 4).

FORMAL PRAYER

O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth. Amen.
