Chapter Study & Analysis
Overview
Psalm 118 is a processional hymn of thanksgiving. It contains the Messianic prophecy of the "stone which the builders refused" and celebrates the day the Lord has made.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Better to Trust in the Lord: It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man or princes (v. 8-9).2. The Chief Corner Stone: Christ is the stone the builders rejected, who has become the head stone of the corner (v. 22).
Practical Lessons
FORMAL PRAYER
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen.
