Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 15 asks who is worthy to dwell in God’s presence. The answer focuses on moral character: walking uprightly, speaking truth in the heart, and not taking up a reproach against a neighbor.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Integrity in Speech: The one who dwells with God does not "backbite with his tongue" (v. 3). Our holiness is tested by how we speak about others behind their backs.
2. Honoring the Godly: We are called to honor those who fear the Lord and to despise vile persons (v. 4). Our social values should reflect God’s values.
3. Unshakable Character: "He that doeth these things shall never be moved" (v. 5). Moral consistency leads to spiritual and personal stability.

FORMAL PRAYER

Lord, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Help us to walk uprightly and work righteousness, that we may dwell in Thy holy presence and never be moved. Amen.
