Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 91 is the great psalm of protection. It describes the safety of those who dwell in the "secret place of the most High," promising deliverance from pestilence, arrows, and snares.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. The Secret Place: Protection is promised to those who "dwell" (abide) in God’s presence, not just visit Him in crisis (v. 1).
2. Angelic Guardians: God gives His angels charge over us (v. 11). We are kept by divine agency beyond our sight.

FORMAL PRAYER

He is our refuge and our fortress: our God; in him will we trust. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him. Amen.
