Psalm 45 is a Messianic wedding song, celebrating the beauty and majesty of the King and His bride. It is cited in Hebrews 1 to prove Christ’s divinity.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. The Majesty of Christ: The King is "fairer than the children of men" (v. 2). Christ’s moral and divine beauty is supreme.2. The Eternal Throne: "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever" (v. 6). This is a direct declaration of the King’s deity.
