Psalms 148 Study & Commentary

Psalm 148 calls all of creation—from the angels in the heights to the sea monsters in the depths—to praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is excellent.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Universal Choir: Everything from "fire, and hail; snow, and vapours" to "kings of the earth" is called to praise God (v. 7-11).
2. Excellent Name: His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven (v. 13).

FORMAL PRAYER

Praise ye the Lord. Praise him from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Let all things praise the name of the Lord. Amen.
