Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 19 explores God’s dual revelation: General Revelation through nature (the heavens) and Special Revelation through the Law. It concludes with a prayer for internal purity.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Nature’s Silent Voice: The heavens declare God’s glory without words (v. 1-3). No human is without excuse, for the Creator has left His testimony in the stars.
2. The Perfection of the Word: The Law of the Lord is "perfect, converting the soul" (v. 7). We must trust the Bible to restore, enlighten, and rejoice our hearts.
3. Acceptable Thoughts: Our internal dialogue should be a sacrifice to God (v. 14). We should pray that our very thoughts are pleasing to Him.

FORMAL PRAYER

Let the words of our mouths, and the meditation of our hearts, be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, our strength, and our redeemer. Amen.
