Psalms 140 Study & Commentary
Psalm 140 is a prayer for deliverance from "the evil man" and "violent men" who imagine mischief in their heart and hide snares for the psalmist.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Preservation from Violence: God is the "strength of my salvation" who covers the head in the day of battle (v. 7).2. Justice for the Afflicted: The Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and the right of the poor (v. 12).
