Psalms 129 Study & Commentary
Psalm 129 is a song of perseverance. It describes how Israel has been afflicted from its youth, yet the Lord is righteous and has cut the cords of the wicked.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Perseverance under Affliction: "Many a time have they afflicted me... yet they have not prevailed" (v. 1-2). God ensures the ultimate survival of His people.2. The Righteous Lord: God brings justice by cutting the "cords of the wicked."
