Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 146 begins the final "Hallel" section. It warns against trusting in princes and praises God as the Creator who helps the oppressed, the hungry, and the blind.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Trust Not in Princes: Human leaders cannot save; their breath goes forth and their thoughts perish (v. 3-4). Our hope must be in the God of Jacob.
2. God’s Advocacy: He executeth judgment for the oppressed and "openeth the eyes of the blind" (v. 7-8).

FORMAL PRAYER

Praise ye the Lord. While I live will I praise the Lord. The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion. Amen.
