Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 121 is a song of trust in God as our Keeper. It declares that our help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth and will not suffer our foot to be moved.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. The Source of Help: Our help does not come from the mountains themselves, but from the Lord who made them (v. 1-2).
2. The Unsleepless Protector: Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep (v. 4). We can rest because God does not.

FORMAL PRAYER

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord. Preserve our going out and our coming in from this time forth. Amen.
