Theological Context & Insights
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Trust in the Name: "Some trust in chariots... but we will remember the name of the Lord our God" (v. 7). In a crisis, our first instinct should be to lean on God’s character.
2. The Sacrifice of Prayer: Before the battle, there was an offering. We should "set up our banners" in the name of God, dedicating our projects and conflicts to Him.
3. Answering in the Day of Trouble: God is a present help. We can ask for His "saving strength" with the confidence that He hears from His holy heaven.
