Overview
Psalm 47 is a song of praise celebrating God’s ascension and His sovereignty over all the earth and the heathen nations.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. God is King: God reigns over the heathen and sits upon the throne of His holiness (v. 8).2. Clap Your Hands: Worship should involve our whole being—joy, shouting, and singing praises with understanding (v. 1, 7).
Practical Lessons
FORMAL PRAYER
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth. Amen.
