Psalms 126 Study & Commentary

Psalm 126 remembers the great things God did in bringing back the captivity of Zion and contains the promise that those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. The Harvest of Joy: Sowing "precious seed" during times of weeping will eventually result in a joyful harvest (v. 5-6).
2. Great Things: When God acts, even the "heathen" recognize that the Lord has done great things for His people.

FORMAL PRAYER

The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. Amen.
