Chapter Study & Analysis

Psalm 62 emphasizes waiting upon God alone for salvation. David declares that God is his only rock and defense, warning against trusting in oppression or riches.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Wait Only Upon God: "My soul, wait thou only upon God" (v. 5). We often fail because we have a "Plan B" instead of total reliance on Him.
2. Trust Not in Riches: If riches increase, "set not your heart upon them" (v. 10). Prosperity is a test of focus.

FORMAL PRAYER

Truly our soul waiteth upon Thee, O God. Thou only art our rock and our salvation; let us not be greatly moved. Amen.
