Isaiah 11 - The Rod of Jesse: A vision of the Messiah as a Branch growing from the roots of Jesse. He is endowed with the sevenfold Spirit of the Lord, establishing a reign of perfect justice and cosmic peace where the wolf dwells with the lamb.
THEOLOGICAL CONTEXT
1. Pneumatological Fullness: The Spirit of the Lord rests upon the Messiah in seven dimensions (v. 2), signifying perfect divine empowerment.2. The Davidic Renewal: God bypasses the fallen "tree" of the monarchy to bring a new "Branch" from the hidden roots.
