Chapter Study & Analysis

Jacob, leaning on his staff, blesses Ephraim and Manasseh. He deliberately crosses his hands, putting his right hand on the younger (Ephraim). He recounts God’s faithfulness as the "God which fed me all my life long unto this day."
1. Sovereign Choice: Once again, God’s blessing follows His own purpose rather than human tradition.
2. Worship in Old Age: Jacob’s final acts were acts of faith and blessing, finishing his race well.
3. God as Shepherd: Jacob recognizes God as the one who "redeemed me from all evil."
