Chapter Study & Analysis

Jacob meets Esau with great humility, bowing seven times. Esau runs to meet him, embraces him, and they weep together. The brothers are reconciled. Jacob eventually settles in Shechem and builds an altar called El-elohe-Israel.
1. Power of Humility: A soft answer and a humble spirit can turn away great wrath.
2. Answered Prayer: God changed Esau’s heart, proving that He is in control of all human emotions.
3. Restoration: It is never too late for family healing when God is involved.
