Genesis 2 Study & Commentary
God formed man of the "dust of the ground" and breathed into his nostrils the "breath of life", making him a living soul. God planted the garden of Eden and placed the man there to dress and keep it. Finding no help meet for Adam, God made a woman from his rib, establishing the first marriage where two become "one flesh".
1. Gift of Life: Our soul is a direct gift from God's breath.
2. Work as a Calling: Even before the fall, man was given a purpose to work and care for creation.
3. Marriage: Established by God for companionship and unity.
