Overview
The serpent, being more "subtil" than any beast, deceives Eve. Adam and Eve disobey God, and their eyes are opened to their nakedness. They hide from the "voice of the LORD God" walking in the garden. God pronounces judgment but promises that the seed of the woman shall bruise the serpent's head, providing "coats of skins" as a covering.
Practical Lessons
1. Doubt leads to Sin: Temptation begins by questioning God's Word ("Yea, hath God said?").
2. Consequences: Sin brings separation from God and physical toil.
3. Hope: God provides a covering and a promise of a future Savior even in judgment.
