Chapter Study & Analysis

The plagues continue with frogs, lice, and flies. Significantly, the magicians fail to replicate the lice, confessing, "This is the finger of God." During the plague of flies, God makes a severance, protecting the land of Goshen where His people dwell.
1. Distinction of the Saints: God knows how to preserve His people in the midst of national judgments.
2. The Limits of Deception: Evil forces have a limit; eventually, the "finger of God" becomes undeniable to all.
3. The Compromise of the World: Pharaoh offers to let them sacrifice "in the land," but Moses insists on total separation. We must never compromise our worship.
