Chapter Study & Analysis

The structure of the Tabernacle is described, including the ten curtains of fine twined linen, the coverings of goats’ hair, rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins. It details the boards of shittim wood overlaid with gold and the vail that separates the Holy Place from the Most Holy.
1. Hidden Glory: From the outside, the Tabernacle looked plain (badger skins), but inside it was pure gold. This reflects Christ’s humility and His inner divine glory.
2. The Vail: The vail represented the separation between God and man, which was only "rent in twain" when Christ finished His work on the cross.
3. Stability and Unity: The boards and sockets represent how the people of God are joined together into a holy temple.
