Chapter Study & Analysis

Pharaoh pursues Israel with 600 chosen chariots. Trapped against the sea, the people cry out in fear. Moses commands: "Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD." God divides the sea, Israel crosses on dry ground, and the Egyptian army is drowned when the waters return.
1. Faith in Crisis: When there is no human way out, our duty is to "stand still" and wait for God’s move.
2. God’s Glory over Tyranny: God hardened Pharaoh’s heart one last time to show that no earthly power can withstand the Almighty.
3. A Decisive Break: The Red Sea represents a point of no return; the old life in Egypt was buried forever under the waves.
