Overview
The Altar of Burnt Offering and the Brazen Laver are constructed. The Laver was made from the "looking glasses" of the women who assembled at the door. The court with its hangings is completed, and the total amount of gold, silver, and brass used is recorded for accountability.
Practical Lessons
1. Sacrifice of Vanity: The women gave up their mirrors (looking glasses) to make the Laver, choosing God’s spiritual cleansing over their own physical reflection.
2. Transparency: The recording of the "sum of the tabernacle" shows the importance of financial accountability in the work of God.
3. Access through Sacrifice: Every element of the outer court points to the fact that we can only enter God’s presence through sacrifice and cleansing.
