Chapter Study & Analysis

God commands the Altar of Incense to be placed before the vail. It also details the half-shekel ransom money for every man, the Brazen Laver for washing, and the sacred composition of the Holy Anointing Oil and the pure Incense, which were not to be imitated for common use.
1. The Power of Intercession: The sweet incense burning continually represents the prayers of the saints and the intercession of Christ.
2. Cleansing for Service: Even after sacrifice, the priests had to wash at the Laver, teaching that believers need daily cleansing from the "dust" of the world.
3. The Uniqueness of the Spirit: The holy oil could not be duplicated, showing that the true anointing of the Holy Spirit cannot be manufactured by human effort.
