CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Seeking the King: The Magi traveled great distances to worship Christ (v. 2). True wisdom is defined by the pursuit of God, regardless of the cost or effort involved.2. The Conflict of Kingdoms: Herod’s rage represents the world’s opposition to Christ’s authority. We must choose which kingdom we serve: the ego-driven city of man or the humble city of God.
3. Providential Guidance: God uses dreams and signs to protect His own (v. 13). Even in the dark seasons of "Egypt," God is orchestrating the path of deliverance.
