Chapter Study & Analysis

Ezekiel 7 - The End Has Come: A powerful and rhythmic announcement of finality. God declares that "the end is come" upon the four corners of the land, and His eye will not spare.

THEOLOGICAL CONTEXT

1. The Day of Trouble: Describing the "morning" of judgment that has gone forth. There is no more delay.
2. Useless Wealth: "They shall cast their silver in the streets... their gold shall not be able to deliver them" (v. 19).
3. The Loss of Vision: When the end comes, "mischief shall come upon mischief," and the people will seek a vision from the prophet in vain.

PRACTICAL LESSONS

1. The Finality of Opportunities: Recognizing that there is a point where the door of mercy closes and judgment is inevitable.
2. Wealth vs. Soul: Money cannot purchase safety or peace when God’s judgment is at the door.
