Overview
The peace offering (or fellowship offering) involves an animal from the herd or flock. The fat, which is the best part, is burnt as the "food of the offering made by fire." It represents a shared meal between God, the priest, and the worshiper, signifying reconciliation and peace.
Practical Lessons
1. Communion with God: This offering was about fellowship, teaching us that God desires a relationship with His people, not just religious duty.
2. The Fat is the LORD’S: By giving the fat to God, the worshiper acknowledges that the richest and best parts of life belong to the Creator.
3. Peace through Blood: Fellowship with God is only possible because of the blood sprinkled upon the altar.
