Leviticus 19 Study & Commentary

Often called the "Ritual Decalogue," this chapter applies holiness to social life: leaving corners of fields for the poor, honesty in business, and the famous command: "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
1. Holiness in Action: Holiness is not just about rituals; it is about how we treat our employees, the poor, and the handicapped.
2. The Golden Rule: Centuries before the New Testament, God established love for our neighbor as a cornerstone of the Law.
3. Integrity: "Just balances, just weights" (v. 36) teach that God expects total honesty in our financial and professional dealings.
