Chapter Study & Analysis

This chapter details the conditions under which a priest may eat of the holy things and the requirements for acceptable sacrifices. God repeats that any offering must be "without blemish" to be accepted. God emphasizes that He is the LORD who sanctifies Israel.
1. Reverence for the Sacred: We must not treat the things of God as common or ordinary.
2. No Compromise in Sacrifice: Offering God our "leftovers" or something "blind or broken" is an insult to His Majesty.
3. Sanctification by the LORD: We cannot make ourselves holy; it is the LORD who sets us apart for His purposes.
