Chapter Study & Analysis

God forbids the immoral practices of Egypt and Canaan, specifically listing prohibited sexual relations (incest, adultery, and perversions). God warns that these abominations cause the land to "vomit out" its inhabitants.
1. Moral Boundaries: God’s people are called to a higher standard of sexual morality that protects the family unit and honors the body.
2. Avoiding Worldly Influence: "After the doings of the land of Egypt... shall ye not do." We must not let the culture dictate our morality.
3. The Judgment of Nations: National immorality leads to national ruin; God holds societies accountable for their collective behavior.
