Revelation 21 Study & Commentary
Revelation 21 unveils the New Heaven and New Earth, and the holy city, New Jerusalem, descending from God. It is a place of perfect fellowship, free from death, sorrow, and pain, where God Himself dwells with His people.
CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. All Things New: God promises to "make all things new" (v. 5). No matter how broken our current world or personal lives may be, the final chapter of history is one of total restoration.2. God Dwells with Man: The tabernacle of God is with men (v. 3). The ultimate goal of salvation is not just "heaven," but the unhindered presence and fellowship of God Himself.
3. The Purity of the City: There shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth (v. 27). Our hope of heaven should drive us toward a life of purity and holiness today.
