Chapter Study & Analysis

Revelation 14 presents the Lamb standing on Mount Sion with the 144,000, followed by the proclamations of three angels. It concludes with the vision of the harvest of the earth—the gathering of the wheat and the treading of the winepress.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Following the Lamb: The redeemed are those who "follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth" (v. 4). True discipleship is an unconditional commitment to the person and path of Jesus.
2. The Eternal Gospel: Even in judgment, the "everlasting gospel" is preached to every nation (v. 6). We must remain urgent in our mission, for the hour of His judgment is come.
3. Rest for the Faithful: "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord... they may rest from their labours" (v. 13). Our work for Christ is never in vain; it follows us into eternity.

FORMAL PRAYER

Heavenly Father, grant that we may be found among those who follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. Keep us faithful in our testimony and grant us the rest promised to those who remain in Thy grace. Amen.
