Chapter Study & Analysis

Revelation 15 serves as a prelude to the final bowls of wrath. John sees those who gained victory over the beast singing the "song of Moses and the song of the Lamb," as the seven angels prepare to pour out the last plagues.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. God’s Righteous Ways: "Just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints" (v. 3). Even when we do not understand God’s judgments, we must trust in His perfect justice and holy character.
2. The Song of Deliverance: Our future is one of eternal praise for God’s "marvellous works" (v. 3). We should cultivate a heart of worship now that anticipates our heavenly victory.
3. The Holiness of God: No man was able to enter the temple until the plagues were fulfilled (v. 8). We must never lose sight of the terrifying holiness and majesty of the Almighty.

FORMAL PRAYER

Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways. Grant us to fear Thee and glorify Thy Name, for Thou only art holy and all nations shall come and worship before Thee. Amen.
