Chapter Study & Analysis

Aaron is instructed to light the seven lamps of the candlestick. The Levites are cleansed by shaving, washing, and the sprinkling of water, then "offered" as a wave offering before the LORD by the people.
1. Walking in Light: The candlestick provided the only light in the sanctuary, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s guidance in our service.
2. The Living Sacrifice: The Levites were a "wave offering," meaning their very lives—not just their animals—belonged to God.
3. Retirement with Purpose: Levites retired from heavy labor at age 50 but remained to "minister with their brethren," showing that we never stop serving God, even if our roles change.
