Chapter Study & Analysis
Overview
Moses sends twelve spies to search Canaan. After forty days, they return. Ten spies bring an "evil report," focused on the giants (Anakim) and walled cities. Only Caleb and Joshua urge the people to go up, saying, "We are well able to overcome it."
Practical Lessons
1. Faith vs. Sight: Ten spies saw giants; two spies saw God. Our perspective determines our destiny.
2. The Minority Report: The majority is not always right, especially when it comes to spiritual vision.
3. The Contagion of Fear: One negative report can discourage thousands, showing the weight of a leader’s words.
