CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. The Shepherd’s Voice: The sheep follow Him because they know His voice (v. 4). In a world of competing ideologies, we must cultivate an ear for the specific tone of Christ’s Truth.2. The Abundant Life: Christ came that we might have life "more abundantly" (v. 10). This is not material wealth, but a life overflowing with the presence and purpose of God.
3. Eternal Security: No one can pluck the believer out of the Father’s hand (v. 29). Our security rests on the strength of the Shepherd, not the merit of the sheep.
