CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
1. Unchanging Savior: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (v. 8). In a world of constant change and theological instability, we rest in the immutable character and Word of our Lord.2. Contentment in God: "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have" (v. 5). Our security is found in His promise: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
3. The Sacrifice of Praise: Through Christ, we are to offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, which is the "fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name" (v. 15). Praise is a deliberate act of the will, especially in difficult times.
