Chapter Study & Analysis

1 Chronicles 15 records the successful return of the Ark. This time, David follows the Law, having the Levites carry the Ark. The chapter describes the massive musical procession and David dancing before the Lord.

CONTEMPORARY APPLICATIONS

1. Learning from Mistakes: David admitted that they suffered because they "sought him not after the due order" (v. 13). Wisdom is the ability to correct our path based on God’s discipline.
2. The Ministry of Music: The appointment of singers and instrumentalists shows that God values artistic excellence and joy in worship. Praise is a powerful spiritual weapon.
3. Worship Without Shame: David’s dancing was an act of total abandon to God. We should never be ashamed to express our joy and gratitude to the Lord, regardless of who is watching.

FORMAL PRAYER

We praise Thee, O Lord, with all our heart! Help us to restore the "due order" of worship in our lives and to rejoice in Thy presence with sincerity and passion. Amen.
