Proverbs 26 uses vivid metaphors to describe the fool, the sluggard, and the busybody or talebearer.

THEOLOGICAL CONTEXT

1. Natural Consequence: As the bird by wandering... so the curse causeless shall not come.
2. Folly: Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

PRACTICAL LESSONS

1. Talebearing: Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
